Back in my hall already... Shall start my entry wif the ZPOP concert last nite (for a more detailed and crazee acct of wat happened, pls refer to jiahui aka mummy's entry haha).
Ok i shall save on all the 'entering the Padang' and 'watching those channel U non-idols' bits... Shall start from the part when Energy went onto the stage to rehearse their dance moves... Everyone screamed and started surging forward as if there was like, free money to be given away or sth. So pushed by the crowd, we all had to move forward as well. Got stuck in this awkward position for 1 hr plus whereby everyone is so near u and u can smell all the B.O and stuff... I swear i felt like fainting at that moment sia. Asked hiang kiat and candice they all if they wanted to go to the back but no one wanted to lah, so me and mummy decided that we've had enuff and that by hook or by crook, we'll squeeze past the enormous crowd to go to the back for some fresh air. Haha surprise surprise, the back part was like practically empty save for those families who were sitting on the grass and enjoying a picnic while listening to the concert. Ok so i digress...
Anywae we ended up sitting wif kenneth and his frens at the back in the end (wat a good opportunity for mummy!)... Ok lah we were situated quite far behind and couldn't realli see the performing artistes
that clearly, but well the 'live' music was the thing that realli mattered rite? Shall start on my commentary of all the artistes that performed at the concert (in order of 'appearance'):
Nan Quan Ma Ma (aka Jay Zhou's proteges): They were surprisingly good! I love all the 4 songs they sang!
Ah Bao and Brandy: They are totally overrated. A veri forgettable performance of 2 mediocre songs.
Da Di (this band from China): I was squeezing out of the crowd wif mummy so i din see their performance. =X
Pu Shu: I was out buying dinner. Enuff said.
Linda: She was quite good lah... But can't realli remember wat song she sang besides the 'hey-yo-hey-yo-hey' song.
Stella Huang: As usual, clad in pink and acting like a sweety pie... Her 'Xi Ban Ya Kuang Xiang Qu' was good though.
Victor Chen: Give me a break. Next time, invite his sis instead.
Ben Yeung: Haha he's quite good-looking lah and i love the 'Tian Mi Feng Bao' song...
Sun Ho: I went to the toilet.
Z Chen: 1 of the bez performers for the nite! 'May I love You', 'Ling Chen San Dian Zhong', 'Bao You Wo' and not forgetting, 'Mo Ri Zhi Lian'... He was realli realli good!
JJ Lin: The 2nd bez performer for the nite! He made me tear wif his soulful rendition of 'Jiang Nan'... I love him!
Huang Yida: A bit disappointed by his 'live' singing skills (he went off-key a few times) but nevertheless, "Xian Wei Jing Xia De Ai Qing' was enuff to get me screaming and jumping and singing along!
Angela Chang: Another surprise of the nite. Onli 2 words to describe her - vocal powerhouse. A veri amazing performance.
F.I.R: The absolute highlight of the nite (i decided to go for ZPOP juz to catch them!)... They performed 'Lydia', 'Fly Away', 'Wo Men De Ai' and 'Revolution'. Everyone and esp me was high to the max! I cried while Faye sang 'Wo Men De Ai' coz it was such a moving performance! U can't sae u have watched a 'live' concert if u've neva seen F.I.R perform 'live'... They r juz so so so
fabulous!!!
Haha if u were sharp enuff, u wld realise that i skipped the parts on Ryu Si Won, Richie Ren and Energy... The reason is simple: I left rite after F.I.R has performed. Oh a comment about Energy: They looked damn black-faced that nite and realli looked veri attitude... Now i've a worse impression of them.
Ok shall end my entry here... This is realli the
longest entry ever. Haha.
