8am) b4 rushing off to sch for my proj meeting...

Singaporeans have too much
sympathy... This was sth that i came to realise last nite. They have so much sympathy, to the extent that can pool enough sympathy votes to make
Mr Blind Man (Kelvin Tan Wei Lian) the
male champion of Project SuperStar.
Firstly, let me state this. I've
nothing against Mr Blind Man, in fact, he was the 1st contestant whom i took note of when Project SuperStar 1st started. However, his
nasal voice (bi3 yin1) problem became more and more disturbing as the competition heats up, to the extent that i found it agonising to hear him sing... I had felt (and i still feel) that he is definitely
not ranked among the top 3 (within the male contestants) in terms of vocals.
So imagine the
shock that i felt last nite when he kicked out
Hong Junyang, the hot fav, to win the overall male champion. (For those who dunno, the results r based 30% on judges' scores, and a whopping 70% on fans' votes.) I felt that it's totally unfair to Junyang, as he's
the one who's deserving of the champion title. Wat on earth was Singapore thinking?! Let me list down
4 main reasons y Junyang, and not Mr Blind Man, shld have won...
1. Junyang has
much better vocals than Wei Lian. In fact, Derrick (the guy whom i've supported all along) sings much better than Wei Lian as well, but he was eliminated due to the sheer amt of sympathy votes that has been casted for Wei Lian last week.
2. Junyang
looks better. Enuff said.
3. Junyang has
better stage presence.
4. The judges agree that Junyang is the
better performer.Did u realise i din sae that Wei Lian shld not have won coz he's
blind? That's my
whole point. If Wei Lian was the one wif the better vocals, regardless of his disability, i wld still have voted for him. But the fact is, he
din. He was the
not the better performer among the 2. Which is y this is so
unfair. I feel so sorrie for Junyang... He lost the same wae Derrick did - due to the overwhelming no. of sympathy votes casted for Mr Blind Man. *shakes head*
(In case u wanna sae that i'm biased and all, i shall state this: I'm
not a fan of Junyang. The onli male contestant i support is
Derrick, and no one else.)
I oso smell a
conspiracy going on here.. Is Mediacorp trying to
prove a point? That they can actualli declare a blind man as the winner? Coz there's been so much rumours going ard about how Mediacorp wun allow Wei Lian to win coz he's visually impaired... So r they trying to dispel the rumours by showing that they can realli do it? Nobody knoes.
On a lighter note, i'm realli glad that
Kelly (the female contestant that i've supported all along) won, although i do admit that last nite's performance was certainly not her bez. I feel that
Xinhui did better than her last nite, but her designated song (the one she got 44 pts for) was a bit too overrated. She din put her emotions into the song i think. Perhaps the judges juz wanted to commend her for her effort ba.
Whatever the case, I'm gonna start setting aside more money to
vote for Kelly during the finals on 1st Sept. Simply coz,
she's worth it. And she ought to be the jue2 dui4
superstar. =)

I officially turned
20 yest! Hai. So old le. Haha.
Anywae i'm veri touched and grateful to u guys who have made my bdae a memorable one! =) Let me start recounting the various details...
1. I went out wif
Huiyin, Kenneth and Weili on Wed nite! We basically ate and chatted and ate and chatted haha. It was quite interesting to chat the whole nite away wif them! Haha oh and they gave me a Japanese eyeshadow set, a pair of gigantic hoop earrings and a beady bracelet... Thanx guys, i realli
love ur present! =) Hehe hope to cyaz all again soon!
2. On fri nite i went out wif
Mummy and Grandma! Went to eat at Long Johns haha. (By the wae, Long Johns is now having an offer for its Value Combo 1! Go check it out!) Went shopping at Far East and oso
Giordano at Wisma where the 2 girls got tops at a super discounted price! It's great to have frens working at Giordano! =P Mummy bought a green Mickey Mouse tee that i wanted to buy as well, but i din eventually as the colour doesn't realli suit me... One impt thing to mention: they managed to get me the kind of
halter top i wanted!!! I was
ecstatic! =) Thank u so much girls! *hugs*
3. Yest was reserved for
dear, so we went out for lunch and returned home b4 dinner (i'd wanted to catch the last episode of the Ch8 7pm show, which turned out to be disappointing anywae). Guez wat, we had lunch at
Pepper Lunch! The whole concept was cool, but i must comment that the service was quite inefficient and the food was not that fabulous (the lemon tea was nice though!)... The price is oso quite steep, and do note that the prices on the menu r
not inclusive of GST yet. Haha. =X Anywae it was fun shopping wif dear, and i got for myself a necklace wif my initial on it, and oso a belt from Bugis Street! Thanx sooo much dear! *muacks* =)
On a heavier note, i've learnt that it's
wrong to expect all things to run smoothly for u on ur birthdae. A
birthdae is juz like any other dae, and there may be things that can get u down. The onli difference is that u'll get disappointed and upset that ur special dae is being ruined, coz this special dae onli comes by once in a year.
Have not been in a good mood since yest nite... Bummer.

As i listened to his rendition of 'Hen Xiang Ni' for the last time, i juz kept tearing... The last time i heard it, i teared coz i was so moved... But this time round, i teared coz it was juz so sad...

$3!!! Fast food has neva been so good!

MarryBrown! They serve a wide variety of food, ranging from rice wif chicken and curry to burgers! I juz love their fish & chips! =) Oh and not forgetting the fact that some of the restaurant's seats r actualli converted to
swings! So u can enjoy ur fav meal while swinging and swinging... Haha.
On the whole, my trip to JB yest wif grandma was nothing short of
enjoyable! We literally shopped till we dropped, and came back wif a whole sack of good bargains! It's so nice to shop to our hearts' content without feeling sorrie for our pockets... =)
This week is gonna be such a busy week, all thanks to
National Dae. I've a grp presentation coming up on thurs morning (8.30am some more!), and tmr i hafta meet up wif my grp to sort things out. Lotsa makeup classes this week, and this is gonna make my packed daes even more packed. Xianz. But well, my
bdae is coming! So
excited! So i shall look forward to it! =P

It's the time of the year again... It's
August! The mth for
celebrations! Yay!

1. Expenses-paid (ok lah not expenses-paid oso can haha) trips to
sing KTV! I've been wanting to go there for so long! The more ppl, the merrier!
2. Expenses-paid trips to
buffets! Better still, seafood buffets! *slurp* =P

Clothes! Any type of clothes will do (er but not too loose or baggy pls! i usually wear size S for tops, if not XS...), but i'm currently looking for this particular kind of halter top that forms a loop ard ur neck... Like

Shoes! Hmmm but it's hard to get shoes that r pretty and comfortable at the same time... And it's hard to get the size rite oso! Haha so forget it lah.

Makeup! Haha actualli i dun realli need more of them, but i certainly wun mind having more eyeshadows and blushers etc... =P
Hmmm i can't think of other stuff that i want le... That's a good thing rite? Haha.
P.S: I juz realised that 1 of the abovementioned items was wat i wished for last year as well! The KTV trip! Haha. Shows how crazee i am over singing.
